The Cadillac Escalade is built for the highway and the city: the E60 from Tbilisi to Kutaisi and Batumi, transfers between the airport and the hotels, the wine estates of Kakheti and the paved Georgian Military Highway to Gudauri and Kazbegi. Four-wheel drive and high ground clearance handle wet mountain roads and gravel to a guesthouse; the narrow tracks of Tusheti and Ushguli are too tight for a car this size, for those take a 4Runner or a Prado.
