Planning a month in an SUV in Georgia? You are probably staying a while. Maybe you work remotely from Tbilisi, spend the ski season in Gudauri, or run a project in the regions. A month with your own 4x4 opens the whole country. This post explains how a long SUV rental works with us, what it costs and which car suits which kind of month. Prices and booking live on our long-term car rental page; this post is the practical guide.
How a month in an SUV in Georgia works with us
We keep things simple. The longer you rent, the less you pay per day: 10% off from 5 days, 20% off from 10 days and 25% off from 20 days, applied automatically on most of the fleet (not the Toyota Prius, Corolla 2015 or Camry, and not the Premium cars, which keep their own rates). So a month costs thirty days at 25% off the daily rate, plus the handover fees and the $20 service fee. Online booking covers rentals of up to 30 days. For longer stays, message us on WhatsApp and we set it up with you.
Everything else stays the same as on a short rental. Insurance and unlimited mileage are included, a second driver is free, and the refundable deposit is about $200. Read the long-term car rental page for the full conditions.
What a month costs

| Mitsubishi Outlander | $65 | $1,463 | Comfortable motorway car with space |
| Toyota RAV4 | $70 | $1,575 | The all-rounder for couples and small families |

Add $20 for the service fee and the handover fee of each end. Collecting and returning in Tbilisi city centre is free. At Tbilisi Airport it is $30 per end. All fees are on the prices page.
Who rents an SUV for a month
- Remote workers in Tbilisi. Weekdays in the city, weekends in Kazbegi, Kakheti or Borjomi.
- Ski season guests. A month in Gudauri or Bakuriani needs a 4x4 with winter tyres, and snow chains for $5 a day.
- Families visiting relatives. Seven seats and a big boot for a summer in the villages.
- Project teams. Engineers and researchers who drive to sites outside the cities every day.
- Slow travellers. People who want to see all of Georgia, from Batumi to Tusheti, without rushing.
Why an SUV and not a sedan
For a week on paved roads, a sedan is enough. A month in an SUV in Georgia is a different story. For a month, plans change. You will hear about a lake, a village or a pass, and you will want to go. Many of those roads are gravel. The Ushguli road, the Truso valley and the Tusheti track all need ground clearance, and some need low range. In winter, snow can reach Tbilisi suburbs for a day or two. So for a long stay we usually suggest a crossover at least. Our 4x4 and SUV rental page shows every model with its seats and rate.
Staying longer than a month? Tell us your dates, where you live and how much you plan to drive. Message us on WhatsApp (+995 591 89 60 60) and we will plan a custom route with you: the right car for the roads, pickup and drop-off in different cities, and honest advice on driving times.
Practical tips for a long rental
- Licence. Licences from Vienna Convention countries work as they are. Other licences, including US ones, need an International Driving Permit.
- Fines. Camera fines come to us as the registered owner, and we pass them on at face value. Over a month, this matters, so set your navigation app to warn you.
- Parking. Ask your landlord for a yard or a garage. Central Tbilisi uses paid zones at about 1 GEL an hour.
- Borders. Cross-border trips are possible to Armenia only, with prior notice so we can prepare the documents.
- Contact. If anything happens to the car, call or message us first. English is spoken every day.
A month in an SUV in Georgia: what to check before you book
First, choose where you will collect the car. If you land at night, the airport meet and greet is the easiest start. Then decide on the class: a crossover for city and paved roads, a real 4x4 for mountains. Finally, check how the total compares with taxis and tours. Our breakdown of the cost to rent a car in Georgia shows the maths with real examples.
Questions about a month in an SUV in Georgia
Can I book a whole month online?
Yes, up to 30 days. The booking page shows the total, and you pay 15% online to confirm. For longer stays, message us and we prepare the booking together.
Is there a monthly discount?
Yes. Rentals of 5 to 9 days get 10% off, 10 to 19 days 20% and 20 days or more 25%, applied automatically in the booking form on most of the fleet (the Toyota Prius, Corolla 2015 and Camry keep flat rates; Premium cars have their own day tiers). A month is thirty days at 25% off, so the price is still predictable to the dollar.
Can I switch cars during the month?
Ask us before you book. For example, some guests want a sedan for the city and a 4x4 for one mountain week. We tell you what is possible for your dates.
Is mileage limited on a long rental?
No. Mileage is unlimited anywhere in Georgia, also on a month in an SUV in Georgia. The only rule is to stay inside the country, apart from Armenia with prior notice.
So if you plan a long stay, start with the dates and the kind of roads you will drive. Then pick the SUV from the table above, and write to us if the month runs longer.
